Notes : |
An exciting acoustic piano trio album by one of the UK's rising
young stars, featuring the stellar Mario Caribe on bass, and
the explosive young Scottish drummer Paddy Flaherty.
This album features a set of original compositions by leader
Harrison, at times in the vein of Herbie Hancock's 'Maiden Voyage',
at other times hinting at the 'Now He Sings Now He Sobs' trio
album by Chick Corea. This is a great sounding album with some
fantastic playing by a trio that has played all over Scotland
this year......and has backed visiting stars like Bobby Watson,
Ingrid Jensen, and David Sanchez..... Paul Harrison was Scottish
Young Jazz Musician of the Year in 1998 and 1999, and is also
active in playing Latin music and Drum n Bass. Watch out for
a star of the future.... |
