Notes : The Crossing |
A straightforward, unpretentious meeting between master
pianist Brian Kellock and Tam White, possessor of one of the
most compelling vocal styles in the country - grainy, tough,
but always relaxed. The result is a captivating programme of
originals and jazz and blues standards, which flow as smoothly
as mature single malt, and just as full of character. Tam White
also has a knack of giving a wistful, sometimes whimsical twist
even to simple lyrics, and the empathy between him and Brian
Kellock is tangible. Relax and enjoy.
